My name is Ben Imlay, born and raised in Columbus, OH and proud 2014 graduate from Wittenberg University. I devoted two years as an AmeriCorps VISTA following graduation before joining Teach For America as a 2017 Greater Tulsa corps member. Today, I live in Tulsa, OK where I teach 7th and 8th grade at Collegiate Hall Charter School.
I also have a dog named Sal -- he's pretty cool, too.

A 2017 Teach For America Corps Member teaching 7th and 8th Grade at Collegiate Hall Charter School in Tulsa, OK. My previous experience includes a summer internship in Shanghai, China with the Yew Wah International Education System and two terms as an AmeriCorps VISTA with Springfield Promise Neighborhood, an asset-based poverty alleviation non-profit in Springfield, Ohio.
"Ben was not only a visionary, but one who could make a vision a reality. When I referred Wittenberg students to serve with Ben, I was confident that the experience would be well managed, meaningful, and individualized to each student’s interests and capabilities. He inspired me to take risks, think outside the box, and he often reminded me of the purpose of why we urge others to engage in the community."
