Today is life - the only life you are sure of. Make the most of today. Get interested in something. Shake yourself awake. Develop a hobby. Let the winds of enthusiasm sweep through you.

Live today with gusto.

What melts your butter?

In 2016, I had the opportunity to listen to Make-A-Wish Foundation CEO and President, David Williams, speak about his journey to the Foundation’s top position. When thinking about a career, Mr. Williams recalled the question his boss at Habitat for Humanity asked him: what melts your butter? In other words, Mr. Williams boss was encouraging him to search for something that he would truly be passionate about, and to not worry about failing along the way.

Mr. William’s message has remained a constant reminder to live my life to the fullest, and to not get bogged down by any personal shortcomings. First and foremost, find your true passion. Then, once you find that one thing that melts your butter, fully commit yourself to your passion, embrace every challenge, and enjoy every second of the journey. Live today, everyday, with gusto.
