As an undergraduate student at Wittenberg University, I designed a digital sharing system for The Sig Fiji alumni newsletter, resulting in a cost-savings average of $300 per issue. The following year, as director of a community-wide Thanksgiving fundraising event, I tripled total revenue ($3,000 to $8,222) and doubled the event's attendance (380 to 750 people served). 

I've also participated in two international summer internships to China and Cuba. From coordinating 4 separate English language summer programs for 200 Chinese students in 4 provinces to organizing travel arrangements and cultural immersion trips for Cuban students, I've worked to build cross-cultural relations despite communication barriers. 

Upon graduation, I served two years as an AmeriCorps VISTA Project Coordinator for Springfield Promise Neighborhood (SPN), a poverty alleviation non-profit in Springfield, Ohio. Throughout both terms, I spearheaded a multi-year project – in cooperation with multiple community organizations and businesses – to effectuate the goal of a district-wide, cost-free wellness program for approximately 100 students (grades 4-6) by 2020.  Additionally, I designed an internship and field experience framework for over 50 undergraduate education students at 2 local universities. I was also responsible for developing fiscal resources in the area of volunteer development and extended-learning, as well as recruiting, training and supervising over 230 volunteers annually across 12 SPN programs.

Following my service with AmeriCorps, I was accepted as a 2017 Teach For America Corps Member for the Greater Tulsa Region to teach full-time, instructing all social studies curriculum for four separate classrooms of 4th and 5th grade (two classes per grade). I currently serve as the 7th and 8th grade social studies teacher and Upper School Department Chair at Collegiate Hall Charter School.
